Laura graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 1984. Her background includes over a decade of in depth experience treating adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic dizziness, vertigo and balance disorders. Laura has trained extensively in adult and pediatric rehabilitation incorporating the theories and treatment strategies of Motor Control, Neurodevelopment Treatment, Sensory Integration, and CranioSacral Therapy. Laura is a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and a Certified Presenter and Teaching Assistant for the Upledger CranioSacral Institute. Laura has also completed Level I training for certification as a Pilates Instructor.
Laura believes in an integrated approach to treatment and enjoys combining her traditional physical therapy background with her advanced training in CranioSacral Therapy, The Feldenkrais Method, and the Pilates to achieve results that could otherwise not be achieved. Laura believes in an individual approach and that each person and each diagnosis is unique. She believes in the enormous capacity of the body to self-correct and strives to honor and support each patient in their individual and unique journey toward health and healing. Laura was drawn to work at Neil King Physical Therapy because of their integrated approach and strong emphasis and use of Manual Therapy in an individualized treatment approach.
